Eligibility & Registration

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • CV Engine is available for use by businesses only.
  • You must create an account to access our services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Services

2. Services Provided

CV Engine offers the following services:

  • Document Parsing: Extracting structured data from resumes.
  • CV Formatting: Reformatting CVs based on templates.
  • AI Enhancements: Improving CV readability and presentation.

Subscriptions

3. Subscription Plans & Payments

  • Our services are offered on a subscription basis (monthly and annual plans). During early access, a lifetime subscription option is available.
  • We provide a free trial with limited usage.
  • Where no free trial is offered, we provide a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied.
  • Payments are processed through third-party providers, and you agree to their terms.

User Responsibilities

4. User Responsibilities

By using CV Engine, you agree to:

  • Use the platform lawfully and ethically.
  • Not upload or distribute malicious, illegal, or offensive content.
  • Not attempt to copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our software.
  • Ensure any data you upload does not infringe on third-party rights.

Data

5. Data Ownership & Storage

  • You retain ownership of any CVs and data uploaded to CV Engine.
  • We store data on your behalf and reserve the right to delete data based on your subscription tier’s storage limits.
  • We implement security measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Itellectual Property

6. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All software, trademarks, and content on CV Engine belong to us. Users cannot copy, modify, or redistribute our tools or software.

Disclaimers & Liability

7. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

  • No Job Guarantees: CV Engine does not guarantee job placements or hiring outcomes.
  • Limited Liability: We are not responsible for indirect damages, lost revenue, reputational damage, or data loss caused by third-party service failures.

Liability Cap: Our total liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the past 12 months.

Account Suspension

8. Account Suspension & Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse our platform, or engage in fraudulent activity.

Disputes

9. Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
  • Arbitration: Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims related to intellectual property or unpaid fees, which may be taken to court.
  • Small Claims Exception: Users may bring disputes under £10,000 to a small claims court.
